Itinerary
06:00: Departure from Hanoi Opera House by car to Mong Cai. On the way, guests can rest and have breakfast at their own expense.
10:00: Arrive at Mong Cai International Border Gate. The tour guide will meet the group at the border gate and assist with the immigration procedures to cross into Dong Hung, China. While waiting for the procedures and after crossing the border, guests will have the opportunity to visit and take photos at:
Bac Luan Friendship Bridge - a bridge connecting the Vietnam-China border over the Kalong River. Here, there is a milestone post 1369 marking the land boundary between Vietnam and China, 2.2 meters high, 50 cm wide, made of granite with the national emblems of Vietnam and China.
Ho Chi Minh Memorial House at the Bac Luan Border Station, which commemorates the event in 1960 when President Ho Chi Minh crossed the Bac Luan Bridge to visit the people of Dong Hung, China. The memorial, completed on May 19, 2019, covers 261 square meters and cost 6.3 billion VND.
Vietnam-China Friendship Park - located to the right of the Chinese border gate, where guests can explore the green space, the revolutionary martyrs monument, and the largest Wenshu Pagoda on the border of China, standing 40 meters tall with 7 tiers, featuring beautiful traditional Chinese designs. Afterward, the car will take guests for a city tour of Dong Hung, including the Dong Hung City Hall Square.
12:00: Enjoy lunch at a restaurant, where guests will experience authentic Chinese cuisine at either Shun Cheng or Happiness Restaurant.
13:00: Check-in at the hotel, then board the bus to visit:
Wanxi Fishing Village - 27 km from Dong Hung city, located in Jiangping Town. Wanxi, along with the neighboring fishing villages of Son Tam and Mu Dau, forms the Tam Dao area inhabited by ethnic Vietnamese for 500 years. The Kim Than Beach in Wanxi is a popular destination with its stunning scenery, where visitors can enjoy the fresh air, relax on the sandy beach, and play in the gentle waves.
Truc Son - Truc Son Ancient Town - located at the southwestern tip of China's mainland coastline, where the land meets the sea, and just a sea away from Mong Cai. Here, visitors will find the imposing border guard station, the monument marking the zero point of the Guangxi border, the scenic square, and the mangrove forest at the Bac Luan River estuary. In 2022, this beautiful border fishing village was recognized as an outstanding project in the "Beautiful Guangxi - Rural Revitalization" program. Walking along the serene and clean streets of Truc Son, with its old houses, lantern-lit paths, and ancient banyan trees, while enjoying the views of the sea and mangrove forest, creates a memorable experience.
17:00: Return to Dong Hung city center for dinner at Shun Cheng or Happiness Restaurant. The evening is free for guests to explore. Suggested activities include:
Renting an electric bike to explore shopping streets (20 RMB/vehicle for 2 people).
Shopping along Gui Zhou Street and Nong Sheng Street - the busiest streets in Dong Hung, with a variety of food and shopping options.
For those interested in karaoke, bars, or pubs, visit the Western-style district. Alternatively, for a nostalgic experience with fireworks, purchase fireworks and light them in the spacious West Street area.
07:30: Breakfast at the hotel, followed by check-out.
09:00: The guide will take guests to explore traditional Chinese medicine at the De Ren Tang Traditional Medicine Center, where they will learn about China's renowned traditional medicine and receive free consultations and pulse diagnosis.
10:00: Guests will then visit the Tan Nhuan Phat supermarket in the Western-style district for shopping and photo opportunities.
10:30: Photo stop at the colorful street near the border gate, followed by a visit to the Wan Chung wholesale market, which sells agricultural products, local specialties, and handicrafts from both Vietnam and China. Close by is the Ho Chi Minh Shrine, commemorating President Ho Chi Minh's visit to Dong Hung on February 19, 1960.
11:00: Lunch at a local restaurant. (If guests prefer to stay and continue shopping, the guide will assist with this, and guests can have lunch on their own.)
13:30: Return to the Dong Hung border gate on foot, complete immigration procedures to re-enter Vietnam. The car and guide will then transfer guests back to Hanoi. On the way, guests can buy souvenirs and local specialties to take home.
