Overview

  • Dali: The capital of the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, located in the west of Yunnan Province, on the Erhai Plain on the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau, at the foot of Cangshan Mountain and on the shore of Erhai Lake. It was the center of the ancient Nanzhao and Dali kingdoms and has a cultural heritage of over 500 years.
  • Lijiang Old Town: Situated at an elevation of 2,410 meters on the northwest Yunnan Plateau, surrounded by snow-capped mountains all year round, Lijiang is an ancient town with over 800 years of history, reflecting the traditional culture of the Naxi ethnic group. The old streets interspersed with a complex network of canals, blending Han, Bai, and Tibetan architectural styles, give Lijiang its unique charm. Visitors will experience a harmonious blend of human life and nature, finding moments of tranquility and introspection.
  • Yulong Snow Mountain: A prominent attraction in Lijiang, about 30 km north of the city. Here, visitors can enjoy the majestic sight of the snow-covered peaks reaching over 5,000 meters. Besides admiring the unique and grand snowy mountains, visitors can also participate in various activities such as mountain climbing, skiing, camping, or exploring the rich flora and rare fauna.
  • Shangri-La: Located in the northwest of Yunnan Province on a plateau over 3,300 meters high, Shangri-La features beautiful lakes and lush green hills. It attracts visitors with its diverse and vibrant vegetation, cultural sites, Buddhist temples, and monasteries. The pleasant and cool climate makes it an ideal place for a relaxing and refreshing holiday.
  • Songzanlin Monastery: A representative Buddhist architecture of the Tibetan people situated on a high hill in Shangri-La. Visitors will spend hours admiring the majestic Buddha statues, colorful prayer flags, intricately painted ceilings, and exquisite carvings in the Tibetan cultural style.
  • Dukezong Ancient Town: A well-preserved Tibetan settlement with a history of over 1,300 years, one of the best-preserved Tibetan towns in China. Visitors can see numerous ancient Tibetan-style houses and experience the unique culture and daily life of the Tibetan people.
