Overview

Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon, lies between the Mekong Delta and South Vietnam. The name Saigon was used officially in 1698. The busy, bustling, and growing city never seems to sleep. The noise of construction workers and equipment working on dozens of new office buildings and hotels mingles with the happy voices of street vendors and the honking of motorbikes and buses. Elegant restaurants, educational museums, ancient pagodas, and quiet botanical gardens are steps away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life of Ho Chi Minh City, and a fascinating mix of cultures has been woven into the tapestry of this increasingly popular tourist destination.

Cu Chi is a great destination located 70 km from the Ho Chi Minh City Center to the Northwest. Cu Chi Tunnel was known as the “area of steel” in wartime, and the tunnel systems were over 200km, which was considered the unbreakable underground village in the Vietnam-American war. It is legendary for its network of tunnels and is a popular destination for both Vietnamese and foreign visitors.
