Morning: Breakfast at the hotel and free time to explore Móng Cái.
09:30: Bus to the Móng Cái International Border Gate. The local guide will meet the group at the border for the exit procedures to Dong Heng, China. During the wait and after crossing the border, guests will visit:
- Friendship Bridge at Beilun - a bridge connecting the border between Vietnam and China over the Kalong River. Here stands Milestone 1369 marking the boundary between the two countries, a 2.2m high, 50cm wide granite pillar with the national emblems of Vietnam and China.
- The Ho Chi Minh Memorial House at the North Luong Border Post, marking the visit of President Ho Chi Minh to Dong Heng, China in 1960. The project was completed and inaugurated on May 19, 2019, marking the 129th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh.
- Vietnam-China Friendship Park, located to the right of the Chinese border gate, where guests will explore the green park, revolutionary monument, and the tallest Wenxiong Tower on the border at 40m with seven floors and many beautiful Chinese-style patterns. Afterward, a tour of Dong Heng City, including the Dong Heng City Hall Square.
12:00: Lunch at a local restaurant, enjoying authentic Chinese cuisine at either the Shen Cheng or Happiness restaurant.
13:00: Check-in at the hotel, then depart to visit:
- Van Vi Fishing Village, 27km from Dong Heng City, part of Jiangping Town in Dong Heng. Van Vi, along with two neighboring fishing villages, Son Tam and Mu Dau, forms the Tam Dao region, inhabited by ethnic Vietnamese for 500 years.
- Kim Than Beach in Van Vi is an attractive tourist destination with stunning scenery, restaurants, hotels, and souvenir stalls along the beach. Visitors can enjoy the sea breeze, play in the gentle waves, and experience a wonderful day at the beach.
- Zhu Shan Ancient Town, located at the southwestern tip of China's mainland coastline, where the land meets the sea, just across from Móng Cái. The town features a solemn border guard station, a monument marking the border’s starting point, a scenic square, and a mangrove forest at the Beilun River estuary. In 2022, this picturesque fishing village on the China-Vietnam border was selected as an outstanding project in the “Beautiful Guangxi - Rural Revitalization” program. Walking through Zhu Shan, you’ll see winding, clean streets, traditional houses, lantern-adorned paths, ancient banyan trees, and enjoy the tranquil beauty of the mangrove forest.
17:00: Return to downtown Dong Heng for dinner at Shen Cheng or Happiness restaurant. Overnight in a central hotel. Evening at leisure. Suggested activities include:
- Renting an electric vehicle to explore the shopping streets (20 RMB/vehicle/2 people).
- Shopping and strolling along Gui Zhou Street, Nong Shang Street - the busiest streets in Dong Heng, with various stores selling cakes, grilled food, bubble tea, coffee, clothes, shoes, and sportswear. Eon Sang Jin area. For karaoke or pub visits, go to the Western-style area. For a nostalgic experience with fireworks and firecrackers, you can buy fireworks in the Western-style area and enjoy the experience.
- Street food: Dong Heng offers many snacks like grilled chicken feet, duck wings, stinky tofu, and fried chicken.
